Free Memories
04:36
|
|||
I see the dancers on a stage of wood
I hear the music where the singers stood
I see the melodies drifting away
I hear the harmony from distant days
I see the photo with the missing face
I dance with dancers in a distant place
I sing with singers who will sing no more
I lay with lovers who will love no more
I watch the better days slipping away
I catch the years as they're falling away
I see the ending of a dream
it's all been just a dream
Free memories
I'm dancing free with the memories
I see the preachers on a stage of wood
I hear the words that are misunderstood
I see the puzzle with the missing piece
I hear the soldier and the song for peace
I see the crying and I hear concern
I dance with dancers who will not return
I sing with singers who will sing no more
I lay with lovers who will love no more
I watch the better days slipping away
I catch the years as they're falling away
I see the ending of a dream
it's all been just a dream
Free memories
I'm dancing free with the memories

Lover With a Kiss
04:08
|
|||
I'm running on a beach on a star filled night
I'm running from the madness and the sadness in my life
I'm running through the wind trying to catch a kiss
I'm searching for the footprints of the love I miss
I stare up at the stars and the blackness of the night
I stare up at the stars and I try to see the light
I crash into the castles waiting on the beach
I crash into the castles with the waves upon the beach
I stare up at the stars
And I look at all the wishes that are out of reach
I see a string abandoned by a kite that blew away
I see a man abandoned by a love that wouldn't stay
I'm looking for a light that will guide me home
I'm looking for a signal that I'm not alone
I stare up at the moon and the blackness of the night
I stare up at the moon and I try to see the light
I fall into the sand and the castles disappear
I crash into the sand and watch the castles disappear
I stare up at the moon
I can see a man crying, I can feel his tears
All I ever wanted was a soft embrace
Standing with my soul mate face to face
All I ever wanted was a permanent love
Someone sent to meet me from a place above
Dreams and wishes that were meant to be
A passion that would last for eternity
A lover with a kiss who would meet me in the night
A lover with a kiss who would show me the light
Someone's running up ahead
They're running in the night
Running from the madness and the sadness in their life
Someone's running up ahead, I see them on the beach
Someone's coming closer, they're within my reach
A lover with a kiss who will meet me in the night
A lover with a kiss who will show me the light
A lover with a kiss who will find me
And meet me in the night

Sad Guitars
04:12
|
|||
You are like a bird in flight,
Disappearing in the sky.
You make love to me
But I don't know the reasons why.
You want to run away
Like a frightened ghost in the night.
Why do I cling to sadness?
Sad guitars bending strings
Follow hollow emptiness.
Sad guitars find the tears,
Why do I cling to you?
You are just a mystery,
Hiding secrets in your mind.
You cover up your scars
With the alibis you designed.
You are happy to live
Like you're dying in a tragedy.
Why do I cling to sadness?
Sad guitars bending strings
Follow hollow emptiness.
Sad guitars find the tears,
Why do I cling to you?

Broken Tambourine
04:12
|
|||
Melody sings with a broken tambourine,
Keeping time with the jangle,
As she tries to unravel
All the tangles in her mind.
Melody used to play in a local country band.
The singer was her lover,
She played the tambourine
And they sang in harmony.
Melody sings her songs for the whole world.
She sings the songs that no one has ever heard.
She sings alone near a window in the dark.
I heard her songs on an accidental walk
As I wandered all alone
Looking for the love I lost.
Melody caught the singer naked with a fan.
He was pounding her with his rhythm,
Filling her with his song
And Melody saw it all.
She threw her tambourine
And hit him in the back.
All the harmony ended.
The metal discs were bended,
Now they make an awful sound.
Melody sings her songs for the whole world.
She sings the songs that no one has ever heard.
She sings alone near a window in the dark.
I heard her songs on an accidental walk
As I wandered all alone
Looking for the love I lost.
Melody sings with a broken tambourine,
Keeping time with the jangle,
As she tries to unravel
All the tangles in her mind.
Melody sings her songs for the whole world.
She sings the songs that no one has ever heard.
She sings alone near a window in the dark.
I heard her songs on an accidental walk
As I wandered all alone
With my own broken heart..

Time For You and Me
04:06
|
|||
I gave you a canvas, I gave you my colors.
You gave me a painting, a beautiful painting.
I showed you my sadness and you took it away from me.
You gave me a smile, it's all I'll ever need.
I showed you my problems and you added them to your own.
We made a list of anything we could fix.
It's time for you and me
To become one for all eternity.
You took my soul and exposed it to
The presence of your love.
I took your soul and exposed it to
The essence of my love.
I gave you the music I heard playing in my heart.
You gave me a song, a beautiful song.
I gave you my heart, I gave you my fragile lonely heart.
You hold it gently and never let it break.
It's time for you and me
To become one for all eternity.
You took my soul and exposed it to
The presence of your love.
I took your soul and exposed it to
The essence of my love.
It's time for you and me
To become one for all eternity.
It's time for you and me
To become one for all eternity.
I gave you a canvas, I gave you my colors.
You gave me a painting, a beautiful painting.
I gave you the music I heard playing in my heart.
You gave me a song, a beautiful song.
